These are photographs made before photography became a practice — snapshots from a first trip abroad, taken with whatever was at hand. Wet pavements in Seoul, luggage piled at a curb, friends asleep on a train between stops: ordinary moments that felt, at the time, worth holding onto. The machine didn't matter yet. What mattered was that something was being remembered.
